MTrailer: Daybreakers
Dec 3rd
Daybreakers (2010) I’m actually excited to see a vampire movie again, maybe between this film and the upcoming “Priest” movie with Karl Urban will hopefully take vampires back from the hands of teenage girls and the women/men who act like it.
Synopsis:
[Aceshowbiz] Two-time Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke plays Ed, a researcher in the year 2017, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world’s population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.

Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds (2006)
M/M M/F
Synopsis:
How far would you go to get the person of your dreams? In the first Eating Out, Kyle (Jim Verraros) convinced his straight roommate to pretend to be gay in order to get the girl. Now, with the help of Gwen (Emily Brooke Hands) and Tiffani (Rebekah Kochan), Kyle pretends to be heterosexual in order to land Troy (Marco Dapper), the new guy (and nude model) who’s turning the heads of both men and women. He soon finds himself joining the campus ex-gay support group and nabbing a girlfriend (Tiffany)! Kyle’s ex-boyfriend Marc (Brett Chukerman) is horrified at the plan and decides to pursue the confused Troy with his own tactic — being his “out” gay self. Who will win Troy first? In the boy eat boy, boy eat girl, bisexual mystique of Eating Out 2, the stakes are raised, sexual boundaries are obliterated, and the answer is never what you might expect!
Review:
Okay, one thing. While I was a little peeved on the “confused” Troy section, they made it up to me in the most hilarious way. The sequel to Eating Out which I did liked but wished in the first one Caleb went with one of the guys instead of Gwen (that girl is nuts). Sue me, I always want the opposite. Anyway I actually like him most and sorry that he isn’t in the sequel. Well in this one: Marc and Kyle break-up, there is an ex-gay movement on campus and the new arrival Troy, the nude model from Troy, Illinois. I liked the first one and so (even with weirdness of Troy’s confusion bothering me until it resolved itself) has in some cases same similar situations on the same levels as the first movie it’s all funny. Strangely, I kind of feel sorry for the guy who runs the ex-gay as he kind of gets caught with another guy but that worked out too. Even with that little bump I like this ending much better than the first movie.

Eating Out (2004)

Synopsis:
After getting dumped by his slutty girlfriend, Caleb falls in love with Gwen. However, thanks to Caleb’s roommate, Gwen thinks he’s gay and sets him up with her roommate, Marc.
Review:
I was like do I even want to watch this, it sounds like a bad comedy. But I got into the screw up ideas, the mix-ups and it was funny even when I cringed when I knew this was going bad but instead of drama I expected, it seemed everybody got off lucky and happy, just as a light comedy should be. The scene that might have people squirming but I had no problem with is the phone sex scene where Caleb is being talked into arousal by Gwen and having actual sex with Marc at the same time. I thought in a strange way it made sense for someone in the situation that it could work if you have someone you trust, well in his case someone you liked to help you.
But it didn’t stick, so maybe this method isn’t for everybody.
But if you have popcorn and a hour and half to spend. Try this out.
